Recap: Saint Louis vs. North Texas

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Cody Ellis and Jordair Jett both scored 17 points as the Saint Louis Billikens slipped by North Texas, 67-63, in non- conference action at Chaifetz Arena.

Ellis was a perfect 8-of-8 at the free-throw line and added six rebounds off the bench for the Billikens (5-3) in their second straight win.

The Mean Green (3-6) were paced by Chris Jones who posted 21 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals in the team's fourth consecutive loss. Tony Mitchell accounted for 18 points and eight rebounds in the setback as well.

UNT knocked down an impressive 52.0 percent from the floor and a perfect 6- of-6 at the free-throw line in the first half, providing the visitors with a narrow 36-34 lead at the break.

In the second half the Mean Green dropped to just 33.3 percent from the field (9-of-27) and that allowed the hosts to battle back and take the win.

SLU outscored the visitors 20-15 at the charity stripe.
