Recap: Temple vs. Penn

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Khalif Wyatt poured in 26 points to lead the Temple Owls to a 76-69 victory over the Penn Quakers in a Big Five contest at the Liacouras Center.

Wyatt hit 8-of-12 shots from the field including a 4-of-6 showing from beyond the arc for Temple (13-5) which bounced back from an 81-78 loss to St. Bonaventure last Saturday. Anthony Lee had 16 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double and Jake O'Biren netted 14 points for the Owls.

Miles Cartwright scored 21 points, Darien Nelson-Henry added 17, Patrick Lucas-Perry notched 15 and Henry Brooks chipped in 10 for Penn (3-15) which has lost 10 of its last 11.

It was Penn that led 33-31 at the break. The Owls trailed despite shooting at an even 50 percent in the period by being outscored 12-6 from beyond the arc.

In the second half Temple improved to 51.9 percent shooting while nailing six triples to pull away for the win.

Temple controlled the boards in the contest with a 33-25 edge in rebounds.
