Recap: Richmond vs. Wofford

Richmond, VA (Sports Network) - Kendall Anthony scored a career-high 24 points as the Richmond Spiders survived a late run by the Wofford Terriers to escape with a 64-58 win in the Nation of Coaches Classic at Robins Center.

Derrick Williams tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for Richmond (4-1), and he also blocked two shots. Darien Brothers chipped in with 13 points.

For Wofford (1-4), Karl Cochran shot 4-of-9 from three-point range en route to 17 points. Spencer Collins netted 13 points, and Lee Skinner added 10 points and six rebounds.

Neither team shot greater than 37 percent from the field in a low-scoring first half, as Richmond took a 26-24 lead into intermission.

The Spiders opened the second half on a 10-0 run and led by double-digits for much of the frame. With Wofford down 52-41 with 3:29 to play, it ran off a 17-8 run, and a Cochran three-pointer with 12 seconds left brought the Terriers to within two, 60-58. However, the Spiders were able to drain their last four free throw attempts the seal the victory.

Richmond made 22-of-28 free throws on the night, while Wofford went just 10- of-16 from the line.
