Recap: Arkansas vs. Arizona State

Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Carrick Felix knocked down all four of this attempts from beyond the arc to score 24 points as the Arizona State Sun Devils downed the Arkansas Razorbacks, 83-68, in the third round of the 2012 Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena.

Jahii Carson added 19 points for Arizona State (4-0), which advances to play the winner of Creighton and Wisconsin's third round matchup in the championship. Jordan Bachynski blocked four shots and recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds while Jonathan Gilling also grabbed 13 boards in the victory.

B.J. Young paced the Razorbacks (3-1) with a game-high 29 points. Rashad Madden contributed 11 points and eight rebounds while Hunter Mickelson netted 10 points in the first Arkansas loss of the season.

The Razorbacks came out of the gate hot and knocked down 15-of-28 attempts from the field in the first half. However, Arizona State shot 62.5 percent from the floor and added 10 points at the charity stripe before the break to earn a narrow 43-41 halftime lead.

Arkansas went ice cold over the final 20 minutes as it made only 28.6 percent of its field goals, including just 1-of-12 from beyond the arc. The Sun Devils knocked down 13 of their 26 field goal attempts in the second half to create distance on the scoreboard.
