Recap: Auburn vs. Murray State

Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Isaiah Canaan scored 26 points leading the Murray State Racers to a 79-59 rout of the Auburn Tigers as part of the Charleston Classic at TD Arena.

Canaan was 9-of-12 from the field including three 3-pointers to go with six assists for the Racers (2-0). Stacy Wilson added 18 points with four 3-pointers.

Auburn (1-1) was paced by Ron Chubb and Asauhn Dixon-Tatum who each scored 12 points, Shaq Johnson finished with a game-high nine rebounds.

The Racers took a 45-19 lead into the half after shooting 8-of-13 from beyond the arc while Auburn was 0-of-5.

The Tigers outscored Murray State 40-34 in the second half of play but it was not enough to change the outcome.

Murray State shot 52.9 percent from the field compared to just 33.3 percent by the Tigers.
