Recap: Auburn vs. Furman

Auburn, AL (Sports Network) - Chris Denson led all scorers with 17 points as the Auburn Tigers defeated the Furman Paladins, 64-50, in non-conference action at Auburn Arena.

Jordan Price came off the bench to score 14 points for Auburn (4-5), which has won back-to-back games after losing its previous four. Frankie Sullivan added 11 points, seven assists, and five rebounds for the Tigers.

For Furman (3-6), Colin Reddick had 14 points, and Kendrec Ferrara tallied 10 points and seven rebounds.

Although Auburn shot just 13-of-33 from the floor in the first half (.394), five of those field goals came from three-point range. Furman couldn't buy a bucket in the opening 20 minutes, going 6-of-29, including 1-of-11 from beyond the arc, as the Tigers went into intermission up 35-20.

Auburn's field goal percentage improved to 48 percent after the break as it held on to its double-digit advantage throughout the second half.

The Tigers held a dominating advantage on the glass, outrebounding Furman by a 42-29 margin.
