Recap: Texas A&M vs. Georgia

College Station, TX (Sports Network) - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 22 points to lead the Georgia Bulldogs to a 59-52 win over the Texas A&M Aggies in an SEC bout at Reed Arena.

Caldwell-Pope shot 8-of-12 from the floor and brought down a game-high nine rebounds as Georgia (8-11, 2-4 SEC) won its first road game of the season. Of the of the 11 players who took the floor for the Bulldogs 10 registered at least two points.

Elston Turner paced the Aggies (12-7, 2-4) with 19 points while Fabyon Harris netted 13 points.

Georgia scored 10 points off of turnovers in the opening 20 minutes and despite shooting just 35.3 percent from the floor, led 27-23 at the break.

The visitors stretched their lead to 48-31 on a jumper by Kenny Gaines at the 10:20 mark of the second half before a late Texas A&M charge brought the Aggies back to within three at 55-52 with 59 seconds remaining. Trailing by five after two Donte' Williams foul shots, Alex Caruso missed a crucial triple and A&M fell.

With the loss Texas A&M dropped its first-ever meeting with the Bulldogs.
