Recap: Tennessee vs. Georgia

Knoxville, TN (Sports Network) - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 20 points to lift the Georgia Bulldogs to a 68-62 win over the Tennessee Volunteers in an SEC tilt at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Kenny Gaines hit 5-of-7 from the floor for 12 points off the bench for Georgia (11-11, 5-4 SEC) which won its fourth straight contest. Vincent Williams added 10 points while not a single Bulldog had more than three rebounds.

Jordan McRae scored 17 points to pace Tennessee (11-10, 3-6) while Jarnell Stokes contributed a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards.

Four different Bulldogs registered baskets during an early 8-2 run to start off the game for Georgia. The visitors made 7-of-13 shots from behind the arc in the first half and after forcing 11 Tennessee turnovers, led 35-26, at intermission.

The Volunteers managed to tie the score on a McRae three-point play with 13:28 left in the game, but they would do no better than that as Georgia responded with momentum-building 9-0 run. Five straight points by Caldwell-Pope late sealed the road win for the Bulldogs.

Georgia shot 55 percent from behind the arc on the way to its third consecutive road win.
