Recap: Ole Miss vs. Miss State

Oxford, MS (Sports Network) - Marshall Henderson erupted for 31 points and Murphy Holloway added a season-high 24 points to lift the Ole Miss Rebels to a 93-75 rout of the Mississippi State Bulldogs in an SEC contest at the Tad Smith Coliseum.

Reginald Buckner added 12 points and seven rebounds for Ole Miss (18-4, 7-2 SEC) which snapped a two-game losing skid. Jarvis Summers had 11 points and five assists.

Craig Sword paced MSU (7-14, 2-7) with 17 points as the Bulldogs lost their seventh straight game. Jalen Steele notched 15 points while Fred Thomas scored 13 points off the bench.

Holloway was perfect from the floor in the opening period, making 7-of-7 en route to 15 points as Ole Miss shot 57.7 percent as a team and led 41-25 at halftime.

Henderson did most of his damage in the second half and willed the Rebels to victory despite the Bulldogs hitting 56.3 percent of their shots in the final period. Ole Miss hit 16-of-20 from the free throw line to hold off a late rally from its rivals.

Ole Miss forced 17 turnovers and improved to 140-106 all-time against MSU.
