Recap: Tennessee vs. Oakland

Knoxville, TN (Sports Network) - Jarnell Stokes scored 19 points as the Tennessee Volunteers routed the Oakland Golden Grizzlies 77-50 in a non- conference matchup at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Trae Golden netted 18 points and handed out seven assists for Tennessee (4-1). Kenny Hall ripped down 11 rebounds and was a point shy of a double- double.

Travis Bader was the top scorer for Oakland (2-5) with 18 points while Corey Petros chipped in 10.

Tennessee had a commanding 38-15 lead at halftime after shooting a stellar 54.2 percent in the first half. Oakland managed to shoot just 15.6 percent (5-of-32).

The Volunteers were again over 50 percent in shooting (51.7) in the second half as they coasted to the victory.

Tennessee had a 42-29 edge in rebounds and out scored Oakland 42-22 on points in the paint.
