Recap: South Carolina vs. Rider

Columbia, SC (Sports Network) - Brenton Williams racked up 22 points in leading the South Carolina Gamecocks to an 88-76 win over the Rider Broncs as part of the Hoops for Hope Classic at Colonial Life Arena.

Mindaugas Kacinas finished with 18 points off the bench for South Carolina (3-0) which remains unbeaten with the win. Lakeem Jackson added 14 points and LaShay Page got in the mix with 12 of his own.

Nurideen Lindsey paced Rider (2-2) with a game-high 26 points. Jonathon Thompson put in 14 points and Anthony Myles chipped in 13.

Both team's shot well in the first half with Rider at 47.8 percent and South Carolina hitting on 46.9 percent. The Gamecocks were able to hold a 44-37 lead by outscoring the Broncs 18-12 from beyond the arc.

South Carolina heated up in the second half and knocked down 17-of-28 shots including 7-of-11 from 3-point range to come away with its third win.

The Gamecocks had 22 assists as a team and outrebounded the Broncs 33-23.
