Recap: Iowa vs. Northwestern

Iowa City, IA (Sports Network) - Roy Devyn Marble netted 21 points to lead the Iowa Hawkeyes to a 71-57 win over the Northwestern Wildcats in a Big Ten clash at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Josh Oglesby chipped in 10 points off the bench for Iowa (15-9, 4-7 Big Ten) as 10 Hawkeyes registered at least two points.

Reggie Hearn led Northwestern (13-11, 4-7) with 13 points as the Wildcats lost for the third time in the last four games.

Iowa shot 48.1 percent from the floor in the first half and scored the final four points of the period to take a 29-25 lead into halftime, despite getting outrebounded by the Wildcats, 19-13.

The Hawkeyes were shaky coming out of the break and allowed Northwestern to hang around. A 3-pointer by Kale Abrahamson cut the Wildcats' deficit to 40-38 with 12:03 left to play. However, Iowa responded with a 13-2 run which included two 3-point conversions by Oglesby. Iowa was efficient at the foul line late to seal the deal.

Iowa improved to 110-57 all-time over Northwestern.
