Recap: Wisconsin vs. Samford

Madison, WI (Sports Network) - Frank Kaminsky scored a career-high 16 points as the Wisconsin Badgers rolled over the Samford Bulldogs, 87-51, in non- conference action at the Kohl Center.

Ryan Evans contributed a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 12 boards for Wisconsin (9-4), which has won five of its last six contests. Jared Berggren finished with 10 points, nine boards and four blocks while Ben Brust matched a career-high with six assists. Mike Bruesewitz scored 13 points and Sam Dekker made 3-of-4 from behind the arc for 12 points off the bench.

Raijon Kelly netted a team-high 16 points for Samford (3-11). Conner Miller chipped in 12 points and four assists and Tim Williams scored 11 points.

The Badgers never trailed and led 47-19 after the first period. They shot an impressive 58.1 percent from the floor while limiting Samford to just 21.4 percent. Wisconsin did not commit a turnover in the first half and finished the half on a 20-6 run.

Samford improved dramatically in the second half shooting 52.2 percent. Wisconsin cooled to 46.4 percent but it was more than enough to secure the victory.

The Badgers' bench outscored the Bulldogs' reserves, 38-3.
