Recap: Baylor vs. TCU

Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Cory Jefferson scored 15 points and pulled down five rebounds to help give the Baylor Bears a 51-40 win over the TCU Horned Frogs in Big 12 Conference play at the Ferrell Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Bears (11-4, 3-0 Big 12) were Pierre Jackson and Isaiah Austin with 11 and 10 points, respectively, as the team won for the sixth time in the last seven outings.

The Horned Frogs (9-7, 0-3), losers of three in a row, were led by Charles Hill Jr. with 12 points and eight boards, followed by Devonta Abron with 10 points and seven rebounds in the setback.

Both teams had trouble shooting the ball from the field in the first half, with Baylor hitting on just 31.0 percent and the visitors 35.0 percent, just enough of an advantage to score the Frogs a slim 22-21 advantage at the break.

In the second half TCU again struggled (.320) from the field, but the Bears turned it around with 52.0 percent accuracy in order to secure the 11-point victory.

In addition to shooting only 6-of-14 at the free-throw line in the contest, TCU also turned the ball over 14 times.
