Recap: Texas Tech vs. Iowa State

Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Josh Gray posted 16 points as he helped guide the Texas Tech Red Raiders to a 56-51 win over the Iowa State Cyclones in Big 12 Conference action at United Spirit Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Red Raiders (9-8, 2-4 Big 12), as they snapped a four-game slide, was Jordan Tolbert who dropped in 13 points and also pulled down eight rebounds in the triumph.

The Cyclones (13-5, 3-2) were paced by Will Clyburn who recorded a double- double with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, followed by Korie Lucious with 11 points as the team had a three-game win streak halted.

Despite shooting only 37.5 percent from the floor in the first half, including 4-of-12 behind the 3-point line, Iowa State was able to stay within three points at the break, 28-25.

In the second half ISU again had trouble finding the basket, making good on just 33.3 percent from the floor, and that included a disappointing 2-of-11 showing on the perimeter, as the visitors allowed Texas Tech to claim the five-point win.

In a game that featured five ties and 10 lead changes, the Red Raiders overcame 15 turnovers and just 3-of-13 shooting on the perimeter.
