Recap: Oklahoma vs. Iowa State

Norman, OK (Sports Network) - Romero Osby had 22 points and nine rebounds, and the Oklahoma Sooners cruised to an 86-69 win over the Iowa State Cyclones in Big 12 Conference play at the Noble Center.

OU (19-9, 10-6 Big 12) went a perfect 34-of-34 from the free-throw line to tie the NCAA record for most attempts without a miss.

Sam Grooms added 19 points and six assists to help the Sooners snap a three- game slide in the head-to-head series and exact revenge for a 19-point loss to Iowa State last month. Steven Pledger added 14 points, Amath M'Baye scored 11, and Andrew Fitzgerald rounded out the team's double-digit scorers with 10 points off the bench.

Tyrus McGee knocked down 6-of-9 3-pointers and led the Cyclones (19-10, 9-7) with 22 points. Fellow reserve Bubu Palo chipped in with 12 points, while Melvin Ejim and Georges Niang each scored 10 in the loss.

The Cyclones never led in the contest, as they shot just 9-of-26 (.346) from the floor in the first half and trailed, 40-28, at the break.

After ISU opened the second half with a 3-pointer, the Sooners put together an 11-0 spurt to push the margin to 20. They never let the lead dip below 15 the rest of the way, as 30 of the team's 34 free throws came after halftime.

OU committed a season-low five turnovers for the game and had 17 assists on 23 field goals.
