Recap: Texas vs. Oklahoma

Austin, TX (Sports Network) - Behind a career-high 31 points from Myck Kabongo, the Texas Longhorns earned the upset win over the Oklahoma Sooners, 92-86 in overtime, in Big 12 Conference action at the Frank Erwin Center.

Kabongo also added eight rebounds, six assists and four steals for the Longhorns (13-15, 5-10 Big 12), who had lost four of their previous six games. Sheldon McClellan added 18 points and eight rebounds while going a perfect 13- of-13 from the free-throw line. Demarcus Holland added 10 points and knocked down a pair of 3-pointers.

Oklahoma (18-9, 9-6) was led by Romero Osby, who also scored a career-high 31 points. Steven Pledger added 18 points and Amath M'Baye managed 16 points for the Sooners, who saw a brief two-game win streak come to a close.

After shooting an incredible 70.8 percent from the field in the first half, including 7-of-9 attempts from beyond the arc, Oklahoma carried a 43-28 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Texas made a run by holding the Sooners to 35.7 percent shooting from the field while making 46.7 percent from the floor itself. A jumper in the final seconds of regulation from Kabongo allowed Texas to tie the game at 77-77 and force overtime.

Osby scored six points in the extra session as the Longhorns outscored the Sooners, 15-9, to claim the win.

Texas shot an impressive 26-of-35 from the foul line on the evening and managed to score 26 points off of 16 Oklahoma turnovers.
