Recap: Texas Tech vs. TCU

Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Dejan Kravic registered a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds as the Texas Tech Red Raiders logged a 72-63 win over the TCU Horned Frogs in Big 12 Conference play at United Spirit Arena.

Jordan Tolbert scored a game-high 22 points for the Red Raiders (10-17, 3-13 Big 12), hitting all but one of his 10 field goal chances, followed by Josh Gray with 11 points and six assists as the team snapped a nine-game slide.

The Horned Frogs (10-19, 1-15), losers of seven in a row, were paced by Kyan Anderson with 18 points, Devonta Abron added 16 off the bench and Adrick McKinney 10 points and seven boards in the setback.

Tech opened the meeting on a 12-4 run, but eventually the Frogs caught up and moved out to a 17-15 edge midway through the frame before the hosts regained control and posted a 34-28 lead at the break. The Red Raiders connected on a sizzling 68.2 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes of action.

In the second half Texas Tech continued to shoot the ball well at a 56.5 percent clip, en route to the comfortable nine-point win.

The Red Raiders cleared just three offensive rebounds on the day, but that was partly because the team was so dominant in the paint from a scoring aspect, 42-22.
