Recap: Marist vs. West Virginia

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - After a lopsided loss to Gonzaga in its season-opener, West Virginia bounced back with an 87-44 win over Marist on Thursday in the Old Spice Classic.

Eron Harris poured in a game-high 15 points and Jabarie Hinds added 11 for the Mountaineers (1-1), who will play Davidson on Friday.

Terry Henderson dropped in 14 points, while transfers Matt Humphrey and Aaric Murray each netted 10 in the victory.

Isaiah Morton had 10 points and six assists for the Red Foxes (1-3), who will take on Vanderbilt in the consolation bracket.

WVU shot a blistering 52.9 percent (36-for-68) from the floor, including 5- for-9 from 3-point range, while holding Marist to just 27.1 percent efficiency (13-for-48).

JR Motorsports set for Truck Series debut at Martinsville

Custer, the 17-year-old son of Stewart-Haas Racing executive vice president Joe Custer, is scheduled to make his season debut in trucks after competing in nine races in the series last year. He became the youngest driver ever to win a NASCAR national touring series race by taking the checkered flag for truck event last September at New Hampshire. Custer is also the youngest pole winner in trucks, accomplishing the feat this past June at Gateway Motorsports Park.
