Recap: Texas Tech vs. Nebraska Omaha

Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Jaye Crockett came off the bench to record a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Texas Tech Red Raiders ran past the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks to a convincing 91-63 decision at United Spirit Arena.

Dejan Kravic added 20 points and six rebounds for TTU (2-0), which is now 2-0 under coach Chris Walker. Josh Gray contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in the winning effort.

Justin Simmons paced the four UNO (1-2) players that scored in double-figures with 13 points. John Karhoff netted 11 points while Alex Welhouse and Alex Phillips produced 10 points each. C.J. Carter grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists as the Mavericks lost for the second straight game.

TTU held a 43-31 advantage with just two minutes left before the half, but UNO scored six unanswered points to trim the Red Raiders' lead down to 43-37 when the game progressed into the intermission. Texas Tech made only 39.1 percent of its field goal attempts and just 4-of-16 from three-point range in the opening 20 minutes.

The Red Raiders heated up to shoot 54.8 percent from the field and 10-of-13 at the free throw line after the break. The Mavericks trailed by a double-digit margin for the final 17 minutes of the contest.

TTU dominated inside by outscoring its opponent in the paint, 44-26, and holding a 48-27 edge in the rebounding battle.
