UCF led by as many as 13 points with 10 minutes to go and despite a late effort from the Blazers, UCF was able to hold on for the win, outscoring UAB 39-34 over the final 20 minutes.

The Blazers shot just 38.5 percent from the field and went 6-of-22 from long- range, while UCF shot nearly 45.0 percent from the floor and hit on 13-of-28 attempts from 3-point range.
