Recap: Texas-El Paso vs. Ark-Pine Bluff

El Paso, TX (Sports Network) - All five Miners scored in double figures as Texas-El Paso cruised to an 83-61 victory over the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions as part of the Sun Bowl Invitational at Don Haskins Center.

Konner Tucker paced all scorers with 18 points for UTEP (5-5), while Julian Washburn recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. John Bohannon tallied 17 points and eight boards, Jacques Streeter had 10 points and eight assists, and Cedrick Lang scored 10 points.

For UAPB (1-10), Mitchell Anderson and Jalen Floyd netted 15 points apiece, while Davon Haynes logged eight points and 10 rebounds.

Behind 47.8 percent shooting in the first half, UTEP was able to take a 35-28 lead into intermission. UAPB shot just 36.4 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.

The Miners improved to a red-hot 77.3 percent from the floor after the break as it pulled away in the final 10 minutes of the game.

UTEP was an efficient 9-of-14 from 3-point range, while the Lions had no such luck from beyond the arc, making just 6-of-29.

The Miners will play Nebraska on Sunday in the final round of the tournament, while UAPB will take on Central Michigan.
