Recap: Arizona State vs. UCLA

Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - Jordan Bachynski had a monster afternoon as he registered 22 points, 15 rebounds, and six blocked shots to lead the Arizona State Sun Devils to a 78-60 rout of the UCLA Bruins in a Pac-12 showdown at Wells Fargo Arena.

The 22 points and 15 boards were each career-highs for Bachynski, who registered a school-record 12 blocked shots in a game earlier this season. Carrick Felix finished with a game-high 23 points for ASU (16-4, 5-2 Pac-12) to go along with 11 rebounds while Jahii Carson went for 12 points and eight assists. Evan Gordon also scored 12 points.

Jordan Adams paced UCLA (16-5, 6-2) with 19 points and five steals while Shabazz Muhammad dropped 18 points and Larry Drew II netted 12.

Bachynski, Felix and Gordon all reached double digit points in the first half as the home team went into the locker rooms leading 39-33. Adams had 15 points for UCLA, which shot 41.2 percent from the floor but made just 3-of-12 attempts from 3-point range.

ASU extended its lead to 55-40 midway through the second half on free throws from Felix and UCLA never seemed to recover. The Bruins managed to hit just 28.9 percent of their shots in the final period.

The Sun Devils dominated down low, outscoring UCLA 46-26 in the paint. Despite the loss, the Bruins still hold a commanding lead in the all-time series, 61-18.
