Recap: Utah vs. Colorado

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Jason Washburn registered a double- double of 13 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Utah Utes as they held off the Colorado Buffaloes for a 58-55 victory in a Pac-12 Conference battle at the Huntsman Center.

Jeremy Olsen provided a spark off the bench for Utah (10-11, 2-7 Pac-12) with 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor in just 14 minutes of action. Cedric Martin tallied 11 points and Jarred DuBois scored 10 points to help the Utes snap a two-game losing slide.

Spencer Dinwiddie scored a game-high 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field for Colorado (14-7, 4-5) as it had its three-game winning streak concluded. Andre Roberson provided a double-double of 10 points and 12 boards, which he accompanied with four steals and two blocks.

Utah closed out the first half on a 10-2 run that gave it a 31-25 lead at the intermission. Colorado went into the break trailing after it managed to make just 39.1 percent of its field goal tries and allowed the Utes to shoot 45.2 percent from the floor.

The Buffaloes went down by a sizeable, 49-27 margin with 12:28 left in regulation, but they caught fire to generate a 26-5 run to make it a one-point affair with 1:45 left in regulation. DuBois made a pair of free throws to push Utah's lead back up to three points before Dinwiddie drew a foul while going up for a shot which he still managed to convert. Dinwiddie did not take advantage of his opportunity to even the score at the free throw line, and after Glen Dean added a couple more insurance points for the hosts, Dinwiddie missed a 3-pointer that would have forced overtime as the buzzer sounded.

Colorado finished the contest with just six assists to 14 turnovers while the Utes dealt out 13 assists to only 10 miscues.
