Recap: Wyoming vs. Air Force

Laramie, WY (Sports Network) - Taylor Broekhuis scored 16 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double as the Air Force Falcons knocked off the Wyoming Cowboys, 57-48, in a Mountain West Conference battle at Arena Auditorium.

Michael Lyons chipped in 11 points and DeLovell Earls added 10 for Air Force (12-6, 3-2 MWC) which has won three straight.

Leonard Washington netted 19 points and came a rebound short of a double-double and Derrious Gilmore tacked on 15 points for Wyoming (15-4, 2-4) which has lost three of its last four.

Air Force shot 52.6 percent in the first half including a 4-of-9 effort from beyond the arc. Wyoming hit on just 38.5 percent of its shots including only 1-of-12 from beyond the arc. The Falcons led 29-25 at the break.

The Falcons cooled to 36.4 percent shooting in the second half but that was more than enough to overcome the Cowboys who shot just 28 percent in the last 20 minutes.

Air Force had a 33-25 edge in the boards while outscoring Wyoming 16-9 from the free-throw line.
