Recap: Air Force vs. Wyoming

USAFA, CO (Sports Network) - Kamryn Williams came off the bench to score 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Air Force Falcons delivered a 72-66 win over the Wyoming Cowboys in a Mountain West Conference battle at Clune Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Falcons (16-10, 7-6 MWC) were Michael Lyons with 13 points, DeLovell Earls 12 and Mike Fitzgerald 10 points as the team snapped a two-game slide.

The Cowboys (18-10, 4-10) were led by Leonard Washington who recorded a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds as he returned to the lineup, but still the Pokes suffered their third consecutive setback. Nathan Sobey accounted for 22 points off the bench, shooting a perfect 6-of-6 beyond the arc and 7-of-7 from the floor overall, while Riley Grabau chipped in 12 points and five assists.

Wyoming led by as many as six points at the 15:37 mark of the first half, but later in the frame the Falcons moved out to a seven-point lead of their own before falling behind by a point at the break, 38-37. The Cowboys knocked down an impressive 7-of-16 beyond the arc through the first 20 minutes.

In the second half the visitors dropped to just 3-of-14 on the perimeter, allowing the Falcons to grab the six-point win after shooting 59.1 percent from the floor in the period.

In a game that featured seven ties and 10 lead changes, Air Force held a 35-27 advantage on the glass and turned the ball over just seven times in order to offset a dismal 3-of-18 showing on the outside.
