Recap: UCLA vs. USC

Las Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Jio Fontan and Aaron Fuller each scored 15 points as the USC Trojans outlasted the UCLA Bruins in overtime, 75-71, in a Pac-12 Conference showdown at Pauley Pavilion.

Eric Wise tallied a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for USC (9-13, 4-5 Pac-12), while Byron Wesley and J.T. Terrell netted 10 points apiece. Fonton also dished out six assists for the Trojans, who had lost their previous two contests.

For UCLA (16-6, 6-3), Shabazz Muhammad led all scorers with 22 points, while Travis Wear and Jordan Adams poured in 16 and 13, respectively. Larry Drew II logged eight points and eight rebounds for the Bruins, who have now lost back- to-back games for the first time all season.

USC shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, while UCLA made just 33.3 percent of its attempts from the floor, as the Trojans took a 38-30 lead into intermission.

The Trojans led by 13 with just under 10 minutes to play in the game, but the Bruins mounted a 21-8 run to tie the game at 65-65 on an Adams jumper with 30 seconds left in regulation. After empty possessions by both squads, including a missed 3-point attempt by Drew II at the buzzer, the game went to overtime.

UCLA took a 71-70 lead with two minutes to play in the extra session on a Muhammad jumper, but USC closed the game out on a 5-0 run to capture the win.

USC won the rebounding battle, 44-36, which helped make up for a game-high 17 turnovers. UCLA was plagued by poor 3-point shooting on the night (2-of-19).
