Recap: UCLA vs. Washington

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Larry Drew II finished with just nine points, but he drilled the game-winning jumper at the buzzer to lift to UCLA Bruins to a thrilling 59-57 win over the Washington Huskies in a Pac-12 Conference showdown at Pauley Pavilion.

Shabazz Muhammad tallied 22 points and eight rebounds for UCLA (17-6, 7-3 Pac-12), although he shot just 8-of-23 from the field. The Bruins overcame a season-low 33.3 percent field goal shooting night to snap a two-game losing skid.

C.J. Wilcox scored 15 points to lead Washington (13-10, 5-5), while Aziz N'Diaye tallied his 10th double-double of the season with 11 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. Abdul Gabby recorded 13 points and eight assists, and Shawn Kemp, Jr. chipped in 10 points for the Huskies, which has dropped six of seven.

Neither team shot greater than 40 percent from the field in the first half. Norman Powell drilled a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer for UCLA, and the teams went into intermission tied up at 28-28.

The seesaw continued throughout the second half, as neither team ever led by more than six points. After a 1-of-2 trip to the foul line by Muhammad extended UCLA's lead to 57-55 with 37 seconds to play, Wilcox connected on a layup with 10 seconds left to tie the score up. The Bruins held the ball for one last possession, and Drew II ended the game in dramatic fashion.

UCLA won the turnover battle, 19-10, and it was able to convert the Huskies' miscues into 19 points. The game consisted of 11 ties and seven lead changes.
