Recap: CS-Northridge vs. Tulsa

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Behind a career-high 28 points from Josh Green, the Cal State Northridge Matadors remained unbeaten as they defeated the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 92-76, in the NUCDF Basketball Challenge at Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Greene went a perfect 14-of-14 from the free throw line and also tallied team- highs in assists (seven) and steals (five) for Northridge (5-0). Stephan Hicks and Brandon Perry each tallied 16 points, while Landon Drew chipped in with 10 points.

Neither team shot greater than 36 percent in the first half, but the Matadors were able to take a 40-26 lead into intermission thanks in part to going 16- of-24 from the foul line.

The efficiency from the field improved to more than 50 percent for both teams after halftime. Tulsa cut its deficit to just two, 61-59, with ten minutes left in the game, but Northridge ripped off a 17-4 run to end the threat.

Northridge turned 20 Tulsa turnovers into 30 points. The Matadors only committed 12 turnovers themselves.
