Recap: UCF vs. Middle Tennessee
Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Shawn Jones tallied a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders pulled away from the UCF Knights after halftime to win, 75-61, in non-conference action at UCF Arena.
Jones shot 7-of-12 from the field for Middle Tennessee (3-1), while Raymond Cintron came off the bench to record 14 points and five assists. Neiko Hunter added 13 points, and James Gallman and Marcos Knight netted 11 points apiece.
For UCF (3-1), Tristan Spurlock went for 17 points and eight rebounds. Keith Clanton stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, four blocks, and a steal.
The Knights shot 54.5 percent from the field in the opening half as they took a 33-30 lead into the break.
With the game tied, 48-48, with just under ten minutes to play, the Blue Raiders ripped off a 16-2 run over the next four minutes to go up by 14, and they never looked back from there.
Middle Tennessee finished the game shooting 28-of-56 from the field (.500), including 9-of-17 from three point range.Game Notes
