Recap: Utah vs. Idaho State

Logan, UT (Sports Network) - Dallin Bachynski scored 22 points and ripped down 16 rebounds as the Utah Utes took down the Idaho State Bengals 57-46 in the first round of the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament at the Huntsman Center.

Glen Dean added 11 points for Utah (2-1) while Jordan Loveridge collected 12 rebounds.

Melving Moran paced Idaho State (0-3) with 15 points while Tomas Sanchez brought in 10 rebounds.

It was Idaho that led 29-22 at the half after shooting 43.5 percent from the floor while holding Utah to just eight field goals in the first period.

Midway through the second half the Utes used a 19-3 run to take a 16-point lead and coast to the victory.

Utah had a 41-32 edge on the boards and will play Central Michigan on Friday in the second day of the event. Idaho State will face Wright State.
