Recap: Utah vs. Central Mich

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Jared DuBois scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds, and handed out five assists to lead the Utah Utes as the cruised to a 67-51 victory over the Central Michigan Chippewas in a game that was part of the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament at Huntsman Center.

Glen Dean added 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting for Utah (3-1). Jordan Loveridge led the Utes on the glass with nine rebounds.

Derrick Richardson Jr. came off the bench to score 10 points for CMU (2-2). The five Chippewas who started combined to make only 10-of-36 attempts from the field in the loss.

The Utes took control early and led 18-8 with just over nine minutes to go before halftime. Central Michigan went into the break trailing 37-24 after it shot 25.9 percent from the floor including a 5-of-18 clip from three-point range. The Utes connected on 57.7 percent of their field goal attempts before the intermission.

The Chippewas were unable to stage a second half comeback after making only 10- of-30 shots from the floor in the final 20 minutes.

Utah held a 41-32 advantage in the rebounding battle and assisted 12 of its 24 made field goals to keep Central Michigan at bay.
