Recap: Boise State vs. San Diego St

Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Derrick Marks scored a game-high 27 points as the Boise State Broncos defeated the San Diego State Aztecs, 69-65, in a Mountain West Conference clash at Taco Bell Arena.

Anthony Drmic contributed 23 points for the Broncos (21-9, 9-7 MWC) for Boise State which has won five of it's last six games. Kenny Buckner failed to score but collected 11 rebounds.

For the Aztecs (21-9, 9-7), Xavier Thames scored 18 points while Chase Tapley added 17. Jamaal Franklin recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds as San Diego State lost two of it's last three games.

In the first half, San Diego State was held to a mere 7-of-27 from the floor. Boise State knocked down 10-of-29 field goal attempts, including 4-of-11 beyond the arc, en route to the 31-19 advantage at the break.

The Aztecs trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half but pulled within three with 26 seconds left. Boise State then knocked down three free- throws to seal the win.

Both teams connected on 22-of-55 from the floor. San Diego State was held to 3-of-16 beyond the arc, while Boise state made 5-of-19 from long-range and 20-of-24 foul shots on the day.
