Recap: Colorado State vs. Northern Colorado

Fort Collins, CO (Sports Network) - Colton Iverson finished with a double- double to power the Colorado State Rams to an 85-69 triumph over the Northern Colorado Bears in a non-conference affair at Moby Arena.

Iverson scored 18 points and ripped down 13 rebounds for Colorado State (5-0) which remains unbeaten. Dorian Green added 19 points, Wes Eikmeier tacked on 17,Greg Smith finished with 14 and Jon Octeus chipped in 10 off the bench.

Tevin Svihovec scored 16 points to pace Northern Colorado (1-3). Tate Unruh and Derrick Barden each contributed 13 and Tim Huskisson added 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

Colorado State led 41-35 at halftime after shooting 53.6 percent, including a 4-of-9 effort from 3-point range, in the first half. Northern Colorado lagged behind connecting on 46.9 percent of its first half field goal attempts.

The Rams kept it up in the second half connecting on 53.8 percent of their shots while the Bears slowed to 37.0 percent.

Colorado State had a 38-28 edge in rebounds and outscored the Bears 21-14 on points from the free throw line.
