Recap: Cincinnati vs. Villanova

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Sean Kilpatrick and JaQuon Parker both scored 19 points as the Cincinnati Bearcats dismissed the Villanova Wildcats, 68-50, in a Big East Conference battle at Fifth Third Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Bearcats (19-6, 7-5 Big East), as they snapped a brief two-game slide, was Cashmere Wright who tallied 11 points, although he shot just 3-of-14 from the floor. On a more positive note, Wright logged three steals on the night to became the all-time leader at Cincinnati with 190 in his career.

The Wildcats (15-10, 6-6) were paced by JayVaughn Pinkston who recorded 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench as the team had a two-game win streak come to an end. The only starter to score in double figures was Mouphtaou Yarou with 10 points on 3-of-10 shooting from the field.

Villanova led by a basket early in the meeting, but even with the squad shooting 52.2 percent from the floor in the first half, the Wildcats still trailed at the break, 32-29.

The Wildcats were not nearly as accurate from the field in the second half, converting just 8-of-24, allowing the Bearcats to run away with the victory.

Cincinnati survived just 14-of-24 shooting at the free-throw line by forcing a total of 19 turnovers and trading those in for 21 points on the night.
