Recap: Seton Hall vs. Connecticut

Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Shabazz Napier posted 22 points as he guided the Connecticut Huskies to a 78-67 win over the Seton Hall Pirates in a Big East Conference battle at the Prudential Center.

Napier also registered nine assists and made six steals for the Huskies (16-6, 6-4 Big East) as they fought back from a seven-point deficit to capture their fourth win in the last five outings. Ryan Boatright added 20 points and four steals of his own for the visitors.

The Pirates (13-11, 2-9), losers of five straight and nine of the last 10 contests, were paced by Aaron Cosby with a game-high 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-8 beyond the arc. Fuquan Edwin tacked on 19 points for the hosts as well.

Both teams shot better than 51 percent from the floor in the first half, but Seton Hall converted 5-of-11 behind the 3-point line in the frame in order to put up a slim 35-34 advantage at the break.

In the second half UConn stormed back with not only 56.0 percent accuracy from the field but also 14-of-15 at the free-throw line en route to the double- digit win.

The Pirates turned the ball over 16 times and also hurt themselves with a mere 6-of-17 shooting at the charity stripe.
