Recap: South Florida vs. Connecticut

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Victor Rudd registered a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds as the South Florida Bulls coasted to a 65-51 victory over the Connecticut Huskies in a Big East Conference tilt at the Sun Dome.

Martino Brock scored 18 points for USF (12-17, 3-14 Big East), which also received 11 points from Zach LeDay. Anthony Collins dealt out 12 assists as the Bulls notched their second-straight win.

DeAndre Daniels paced UConn (19-10, 9-8) with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Ryan Boatright went 3-of-13 from the floor to net 11 points and Omar Calhoun made just one of his 14 field goal attempts to score three points. R.J. Evans added 10 points for the Huskies, who have now lost three in a row. UConn played without Shabazz Napier, who sat out with a sore right foot.

The Bulls took a 28-26 lead into halftime after they connected on 4-of-10 from 3-point range and limited UConn to 2-of-11 efficiency from beyond the arc.

USF knocked down 50 percent of its field goal tries in the second half and pulled away as the Huskies went 10-of-31 from the floor during the stanza.

The Bulls assisted 16 of their 27 makes from the floor and committed only five turnovers. UConn had nine assists to 10 turnovers.
