Recap: Fresno State vs. Pacific

Fresno, CA (Sports Network) - Kevin Foster produced a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to guide the Fresno State Bulldogs to a 66-61 home opening win over the Pacific Tigers in non-conference action at the Save Mart Center.

Allen Huddleston also scored 13 points for Fresno State (2-1), which picked up its second victory in a row. Kevin Olekaibe added 11 points and Tyler Johnson shot 4-of-9 from the field for 10 points.

Lorenzo McCloud paced the Tigers (1-1) with a game-high 20 points. Colin Beatty pulled down 10 rebounds as Pacific endured its first loss of the season.

The Tigers opened the game by making 14-of-25 field goal attempts and all four of their shots at the free throw line in the opening quarter. The Bulldogs shot 56.3 percent from the floor and converted 14-of-17 attempts at the charity stripe to send the game into the intermission tied up at 34-34.

Fresno State cooled off to 36 percent shooting from the floor after the break, but it made 5-of-11 attempts from three-point range to avoid trailing at any point in the second half. Pacific was unable to keep up after making only one of its eight attempts from beyond the arc over the final 20 minutes.

Despite the loss, the Tigers held a 33-23 advantage in the rebounding battle. Both sides finished with nine assists and 17 turnovers.
