Recap: Nevada vs. Fresno State

Reno, NV (Sports Network) - Tyler Johnson scored 19 points as he helped lead the Fresno State Bulldogs to a 69-64 overtime win against the Nevada Wolf Pack in Mountain West Conference play at the Lawlor Event Center.

Also scoring in double figures for Fresno State (9-16, 3-9 MWC) were Kevin Foster and Allen Huddleston with 15 and 11 points, respectively, as the team bounced back from an overtime loss against Wyoming this past weekend and snapped a three-game slide as well.

Nevada (12-13, 3-8) was paced by Deonte Burton who tallied 12 points, but he shot just 5-of-14 from the floor as the team bowed for the fifth time in the last six outings. Marqueze Coleman and Jordan Burris pitched in with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Malik Story logged a mere six points as he shot 1-of-11 from the floor.

Nevada moved out to a 25-23 lead at the break even though the squad shot only 34.8 percent from the floor and missed on all seven attempts behind the 3- point line in the frame.

Points were again at a premium in the second half, but somehow the Pack figured out a way to extend their lead to double digits with just over 14 minutes left in regulation.

But the lead did not last for Nevada as Foster knocked down a 3-pointer in the final seconds for the Bulldogs to knot the score at 58-58, while a failed triple by Burton at the other end sent the game into overtime.

In the extra session FSU made good on 7-of-8 at the free-throw line in order to claim the five-point road win.

Nevada was beaten on the glass, 47-37, shot only 5-of-20 on the perimeter and converted just 21-of-35 at the charity stripe on the night.
