Recap: Nevada vs. Drake

Reno, NV (Sports Network) - Richard Carter paced five teammates in double- figures with 16 points as the Drake Bulldogs defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack, 76-66, in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge at Lawlor Events Center.

Jordan Clarke scored 15 points for Drake (3-3), Seth VanDeest added 14 points, and Ben Simons and Jeremy Jeffers chipped in 11 points apiece.

For Nevada (4-3), Malik Story tallied a game-high 19 points, and Deonte Burton netted 12 points.

Nevada outshot Drake from the field in the first half, 52 percent to 48.4 percent, but the Bulldogs were able to take a 45-39 lead into the break by shooting 7-of-11 from three-point range.

Drake's field goal percentage decreased to 40 percent after intermission, but it was able to hold on to its advantage throughout the second half.

The Bulldogs outscored the Wolf Pack in the paint, 28-12. Drake also won the rebounding battle, 36-30.
