Recap: Long Beach State vs. Cal Poly

Long Beach, CA (Sports Network) - James Ennis' game-high 23 points lifted the Long Beach State 49ers to a 50-48 win over the Cal Poly Mustangs in a Big West thriller at the Pyramid.

Ennis was the only player in double figures for Long Beach State (13-8, 9-1 Big West) which has won eight straight.

Kyle Odister tipped in 11 off the bench for Cal Poly (9-11, 5-5) which has lost back-to-back games.

In the first half the Mustangs shot just 37.5 percent from the floor but advantages from 3-point range (12-6) and the free-throw line (8-5) earned them a 30-25 lead at the break.

In the second half the 49ers shot at an even 50 percent, while holding Cal Poly to 26.7 percent from the floor, to pick up the win.

For the game Long Beach State shot 47.2 percent while Cal Poly lagged behind at 31.5 percent.
