San Luis Obispo, CA (Sports Network) - Dylan Royer shot 6-of-11 from 3-point range en route to a career-high 20 points as the Cal Poly Mustangs dismissed the UC Davis Aggies, 68-53, in a Big West Conference bout at the Mott Athletics Center.

Morgan Reese chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds for Cal Poly (11-11, 7-5 Big West), which has won two in a row on the heels of back-to-back losses.

For UC Davis (9-13, 5-6), Ryan Sypkens netted 17 points on 5-of-11 from beyond the arc, Corey Hawkins added 16 points, and J.T. Adenrele had 10 points. Ryan Howley corralled 11 rebounds for the Aggies, who have lost two of three.

Cal Poly opened up a comfortable 37-20 lead at intermission behind 53.6 percent field goal shooting in the first half.

After shooting only 26.9 percent from the floor in the opening frame, UC Davis' field goal efficiency improved to 46.7 percent after halftime, but it wasn't enough to overcome its steep first-half deficit.
