Long Beach, CA (Sports Network) - Keala King scored 22 points to help spark a second-half comeback for the Long Beach State 49ers, as they defeated the UC Davis Aggies, 71-65, in Big West Conference action at Walter Pyramid.

Tony Freeland netted 18 points for LBSU (17-9, 13-2 Big West), while James Ennis chipped in 15 points. Dan Jennings hauled in 11 rebounds for the 49ers, who have won 26 straight home games against conference opponents.

For UCD (11-14, 7-7), Corey Hawkins scored 21 points on 4-of-8 from 3-point range, J.T. Adenrele tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Ryan Howley had 10 points. The Aggies had been winners of back-to-back games prior to this contest.

UCD shot a solid 45.8 percent from the field in the first half, including 8- of-15 from beyond the arc, as it took a 33-24 lead at the break. LBSU shot only 10-of-27 (.370) from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.

The 49ers found their stroke after intermission, making greater than 61 percent of their field goal attempts. LBSU gradually climbed its way back into the game and eventually took a 59-57 lead on a Freeland layup with 3:45 remaining, and it would sustain that advantage for the rest of the game.

LBSU's stellar field goal shooting night (.491) allowed it to overcome a poor 14-of-26 showing from the foul line.
