Recap: St Marys-CA vs. Pacific

Moraga, CA (Sports Network) - Beau Levesque scored 18 points off the bench as the Saint Mary's Gaels completed a 74-46 rout of the Pacific Tigers in a non-conference tilt at McKeon Pavilion.

Matthew Dellavedova tallied 17 points, eight assists, and six rebounds for SMC (8-2) in its fourth consecutive victory. Mitchell Young added 11 points and rebounds while Jorden Page scored 10 points.

Khalil Kelley paced Pacific (5-6) with 11 points and Lorenzo McCloud managed to produce 10 points despite going 0-of-5 from the field. The Tigers, who defeated SMC by 10 points on Nov. 23, have now lost back-to-back games.

The Gaels dominated on both ends of the floor in the first half to build a 36-17 halftime lead. They drained 42.3 percent of their attempts from the field and held a 21-15 edge in the rebounding battle while holding Pacific to 28 percent shooting from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.

Although the Tigers improved after the break to hit 38.9 percent of their field goal attempts and 14-of-16 at the free throw line, SMC pulled down 13 offensive rebounds in the second half to create extra possessions and eliminate possibility of a comeback by Pacific.

The Gaels held a dominant 44-24 edge in the rebounding battle and sank 10- of-30 attempts from beyond the arc. The Tigers were able to make just 1-of-8 shots from distance.
