Recap: UC Santa Barbara vs. Pacific

Santa Barbara, CA (Sports Network) - Michael Bryson and Taran Brown each scored 13 points to lead the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos to a 66-53 victory over the Pacific Tigers in a Big West Conference showdown at The Thunderdome.

T.J. Taylor tallied 11 points and eight assists for UCSB (8-15, 4-8 Big West), while Alan Williams poured in 10 points. The Gauchos snapped a season-long five-game losing streak with the triumph.

Ross Rivera netted 15 points off the bench for Pacific (13-10, 7-4), which had won its previous four games. Lorenzo McCloud put up 10 points but on just 2- of-10 from the field.

UCSB shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range, as it took a 37-29 lead into the break. Pacific was only 11- of-27 shooting in the opening 20 minutes (.407) and committed eight turnovers.

The Tigers' field goal percentage dipped to just .207 after intermission, and they never got closer than seven points of the lead.

UCSB held a dominating edge on the glass, outrebounding Pacific by a 40-29 margin.

JR Motorsports set for Truck Series debut at Martinsville
