Recap: UC Santa Barbara vs. San Diego

Santa Barbara, CA (Sports Network) - Taran Brown scored 17 points and brought in eight rebounds as the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos downed the San Diego Toreros 57-39 in a non-conference matchup at the UCSB Thunderdome.

Alan Williams scored 12 points and also had eight rebounds for UC Santa Barbara (2-2).

Johnny Dee scored eight points to lead San Diego (3-3) which had no players in double figures. Ken Rancifer did collect a game-high nine rebounds.

San Diego trailed by just six, 34-28, at the half despite shooting 38.5 percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes.

In the second half the Toreros were unable to get anything going offensively as they connected on just 3-of-27 shots from the floor including misses on all 11 shots from beyond the arc.

UC Santa Barbara shot 46.0 percent from the floor in the win.
