Recap: Wyoming vs. Denver

Laramie, WY (Sports Network) - Luke Martinez scored 25 points as the Wyoming Cowboys remained undefeated with a 71-61 victory over the Denver Pioneers at Arena-Auditorium.

Larry Nance added 21 points and Derrious Gilmore chipped in 12 for Wyoming (11-0).

Chris Udofia poured in 26 points before fouling out for Denver (3-6). Royce O'Neale provided 12 points and was the only other player in double figures.

Both teams shot well in the first half. Wyoming led 30-24 at the break by hitting 61.1 percent of its field goal attempts. Denver connected on an even 50.0 percent of its shots.

In the second half both teams improved with Wyoming rattling in a scorching 68.8 percent of its field goal attempts. Denver turned in a strong 56.5 percent effort but it wasn't enough to catch the Cowboys.

With both teams shooting so well they combined for only 36 total rebounds. Wyoming overcame a game-high 17 turnovers in the win.
