Recap: Denver vs. Idaho

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Denver Pioneers defeated the Idaho Vandals, 74-58, thanks to a career-high 22-point performance from Jalen Love in a Western Athletic Conference matchup at the Magness Arena.

Love was 9-of-10 from the floor and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc for the Pioneers (15-8, 11-2 WAC), who notched their fourth consecutive win. Chris Udofia added 13 points, four steals and three blocks while Royce O'Neale managed 12 points and six rebounds. Brett Olson and Chase Hallam dished out five assists apiece with Olson scoring 11 points and Hallam tallying four steals.

For Idaho (9-14, 5-8), Stephen Madison and Mike McChristian managed 14 points each with Madison grabbing six rebounds and shooting 6-of-9 from the floor. The Vandals dropped their second in a row.

The first half was all Denver, which took a 36-14 lead into the break after holding its opponent to a first half season-low in scoring.

Idaho outscored the Pioneers 44-38 in the second half despite allowing them to shoot 58.3 percent from the field.

Denver shot 56.9 percent from the field and took advantage of the Vandals' 16 turnovers, converting them into 22 points.
