Recap: Denver vs. Texas-Arlington

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Chris Udofia scored a game-high 21 points as the Denver Pioneers secured the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Western Athletic Conference Tournament by defeating the Texas-Arlington Mavericks, 84-55, in league play at Magness Arena.

Brett Olson contributed 18 points, five assists and three blocks for the Broncos (20-8, 15-2 WAC). Jalen Love chipped in 12 points and Royce O'Neale added 10 points as Denver moved to a nine-game winning streak.

For the Mavericks (17-11, 11-6), Karol Gruszecki recorded a team-high 16 points, along with five rebounds and five steals. Drew Charles put up 12 points off the bench as Texas-Arlington had a two-game winning streak snapped.

In the first half, Texas-Arlington was held to a mere 8-of-17 from the floor. Denver knocked down 15-of-24 field goal attempts, including 7-of-11 beyond the arc, en route to the 43-24 advantage at the break.

In the second Denver continued it's impressive shooting, making 13-of-23 from the floor. Texas Arlington was held to 10-of-27 field goal attempts made, as Denver took the 29-point victory.

Denver made 11-of-20 3-point tries and forced 22 turnovers on the night.
