Recap: Evansville vs. Bradley

Evansville, IN (Sports Network) - Colt Ryan tallied 19 points as he helped guide the Evansville Purple Aces to a 66-56 win over the Bradley Braves in Missouri Valley Conference action at the Ford Center.

Ryan was the only player in double figures for the Purples Aces (12-8, 5-3 MVC) as they snapped a two-game slide. Egidijus Mockevicius accounted for 10 rebounds and four blocked shots for the hosts as well.

The Braves (12-8, 4-4) were paced by Walt Lemon who dropped in a game-high 22 points, shooting a perfect 4-of-4 beyond the arc. Tyshon Pickett and Dyricus Simms-Edwards both added 12 points for Bradley as the team had a two-game win streak snapped.

Bradley led by a single point early on in the meeting, but even after shooting 4-of-6 beyond the arc in the first half the team settled for a 30-28 deficit at the break.

After converting 50 percent from the floor in the first half, Evansville again knocked down half of its field goal tries after intermission in order to secure the double-digit win.

The Purple Aces overcame just 2-of-13 shooting behind the 3-point line on the night by forcing 16 turnovers and creating 14 points off those miscues.
